Meet the Owner

Dr. Marcy Crouch, DPT, WCS

Treating pelvic floor dysfunction, helping women prepare for birth and reduce trauma and tearing, showing women and moms how to have a better pregnancy, birth, and recovery is my life’s passion.

I am a mom of 2, have been where you are, and have dedicated my entire career to helping women feel better, stronger, and more empowered as they transition into motherhood. I am the owner and founder of @thedowntheredoc, and online wellness platform built to improve access for women, worldwide, to proven pelvic floor online programs.

I have been treating patients for 13+ years, have taught nationally and internationally, owned clinics, and started countless women’s health programs. It’s time the women of the Auburn/Opelika area have a comprehensive solution to birth prep, postpartum recovery, and pelvic floor problems like leaking urine, pelvic pain, and prolapse.

Our Services

  • Physical Therapy Evaluation: For New Patients

A one hour first appointment for new clients. Expect 1:1 care in a comfortable, spa-like setting, a thorough history and exam, and a comprehensive plan for your concerns. This is where it all begins.

  • Follow Up Sessions

One hour or 30 min sessions, depending on your needs and schedule. Plan on manual therapy, pain relief, a good laugh, specific exercise in clinic, homework that fits your lifestyle, and discussion of how we are meeting your goals.

Can’t make it into the clinic right now? No worries.

Consider our online programs! Prepare your pelvic floor and body for your upcoming delivery, reduce your risk of vaginal tearing + trauma, experience less pain after birth, and jumpstart your postpartum recovery with a comprehensive plan. Do it all on your own time and your own schedule.

FAQ's

FAQ's

  • Most common issue are leaking urine (incontienence), pelvic pain, pregnancy realted low back or pelvic pain, birth preparation, pelvic floor rehab after baby, pain with sex, core/abdominal weakness, constipation, vaginal/genital/anal/tailbone pain, post op gynecological surgery…and more!

  • Totally varies. My goal is to get you to not need me, so we will discuss what we can do to get you strong, pain, free, and confident!

  • The state of AL allows you to access PT for the first appointment without a referral, but your doctor needs to sign off on our plan of care in order to continue treatment. So we don’t have to pause or have a disruption in care, it may be a good idea to get one before your first appointment, just so we have it on file. Your doc can fax it to xxx-xxx-xxx

  • I do not! But don’t worry, our prices are afforable, and you can submit to your insurance for out of network coverage. I’ll give you everything you need to do that. I work for you, not insurance companies, and this way I can treat you how you need to be treated, without any limitations or surprises from insurance. Isn’t that so much better text goes here

  • Totally! Bring them.

I believe that women deserve better: a higher standard of care, during their pregnancies, births, and recoveries. There is a chasm in maternal health care, and this is the missing link. You deserve to have a provider who tells you what you are experiencing is not “normal” because you had a baby, that you have to ignore or “deal with” pain with sex, and that prolapse and leaking is “just what happens” after you become a mother. Aren’t you ready to feel human again?

Schedule your Physical Therapy appointment now. I’d love to show you how to make leaking, prolapse, pain, and pelvic floor issues a thing of the past.
